The Slingshot Sentry V1 has a new Click-In chicken loop, auto-swivel and a clam cleat depower system. With the new Slingshot Sentry V1 bar you can stand on the water with confidence.
Slingshot has an almost brand new kitesurf bar for 2021 ! To start with, the quick release system of the new Sentry bar has been thoroughly overhauled. The quick release still works the same by pushing the red part away from you. After releasing, assembling the Quick Release is super simple, you simply click the loose end of the chicken loop back into the system and you can continue kiting!
Another major adjustment from Slingshot to the Sentry kitesurf bar is the system with which the power lines automatically rotate apart. This is because the coated depower line runs through the bar in two parts. The two parts are separated in the bar. The swivel of the bar ensures that when your power lines are twisted and you pull on your bar, the lines twist apart effortlessly. This means your power lines will never be twisted together again. This system is also used with the Core Sensor kitesurf bar.
The Singshot Sentry V1 bar itself has a soft grip. The thickness of the bar has remained approximately the same, so the Sentry bar feels the same as you are used to from the Slingshot kite bar. Left and right are easily distinguished by a red and white marking on the Sentry bar V1. The ends of the Sentry V1 bar give the well-known Slingshot look.
The various Sentinel and Guardian depower variants of Slingshot have disappeared from this 2021 kite bar. The Slingshot Sentry V1 uses a depower system similar to the previous Sentinel system. The system works with a clam cleat, you tighten the rope for depower and release the rope for more power.
