Destination Summary

Strand Slufter

Really unique and diverse location in the South West of the Netherlands. You park your car on the parking lot on top of these huge 30/35 meter high dunes and already have a sick overview of the entire spot. You’ll see, depending on the tide, two lagoons, a sand bar and coast line.

What I like about this spot is the diversity. You can start in flat water do some freestyle, go to the sandbar and enjoy small waves and after that go to the big waves at the coast line. It a kiter’s playground! Often you’ll spot a seal when riding this spot.

There isn’t very much around at the beach. So you’ll have to bring your own beer and bbq. But that has its charm. Mostly kiters and a few other water sports enthusiast there, but that is.

Nearby is Rotterdam, second large city of the Netherlands. Modern city with beautiful skyline, a lot to do and see.
