Destination Summary

Cape Town

The cold water, left foot forward kickers and strong, dense wind makes this big air paradise!

This is arguably the best big air destination in the world. It's no wonder why RedBull King of The Air is hosted here and all of the Woo World Records have been set here too! The above video, made by Sam Light, sums it up really well.

In season you'll find almost all the pros down at the beach, training hard and pushing the limits of the sport. You'll also find that it gets really packed from mid- December to middle of February. But while this crowd makes for a hectic time on the water, it also makes for a great vibe off the water. The Cape Town kite community is strong. We know how to have a good time!

This is also where the Big Air Kite League was founded- giving up-and-coming riders a chance to push themselves and the sport!
