Barra Grande

Barra Grande is about 200km up north of Jericoaroara. It is a cute surftown with a lot of focus on kiting. In front of the resorts the bay is very nice and kiteable. Has a bit choppy to flat water depending the tide, very fun to play around.

When the tide is higher, 15 minutes up just by downwinding there, there's this absolutely great lagoon spot called the Boca. This is a superflat water spot, and this area of brazil has this great wind conditions. Ideal to boost biggggg and show off to your friend :-) Be careful when it's busy though and mind the trees.

To get back you can get a donkey from the locals to transport you back to town.
Nightlife is a bit slow, but enough to keep you entertained and nourished from a big day of kiting. Very easy going and relaxed atmosphere here!

Getting there is not hard but a long ride from Jeri or Fortaleza.

Best to fit this in a larger trip downwinding the coast of ceara. Fly to fortaleza and hire 4wd taxi's via Jericoacoara or straight to Barra Grande
