Destination Summary

There is both flat water and waves, these are not the best waves generally but can get nice with east wind. The best wind is typically the west wind in the summer, meaning right riding to hit the kickers. The spots are not crowded and there is plenty of space. Water is nice in summer with temperature around 20-21C. The wind does not go often over the 30 knots but circles around the 20 knots, a little under, a little over. The wind may not blow every week, but sometimes comes in bundles of 3-5 days. Still there is plenty to see around. The weather is nice in the winter as well but you will be less likely to get wind. It is family friendly and Portugal is safe and with a lot of people speaking English, good food, and really nice sand beaches and clear water. Good for beginners as there is flat water available but still fun for advanced.
