Destination Summary

Houston

You will likely stay in Houston as it’s a cool city with lots to do and the drive to kite will be roughly an hour. If the wind isn’t blowing there are good mountain biking trails at terry Hershey park and tons of bars, restaurants at museums, etc. Kite community is full of friendly welcoming people, levee great for beginners as it’s waist deep water. Dike is butter flat (but offshore wind) and 30+knots on the northern cold front. East beach is a nice beach with few people, and decent waves sometimes, mostly choppy ocean though. Great downwinder along Galveston coast as well.
