Its a common tourist spot of Rio de Janeiro, but not really popular for kitesurfing, although there is good wind and great weather.

Since its a rainy forest weather, it changes a lot and the wind frequency changes quiet often. The wind is moderate, but it can blow up to 35 knots in the summer time. The average is 18/20 knots. There is wind in the whole year, make sure to check the forecast. There is a flat lagoon called Lagoa do Foguete. The rest of the spot is mainly open water beaches.

The spot is family friendly and there are several options of hotels and restaurants, and a lot beach activities, even a great diving spot with crystal clear water caller Arraial do Cabo.
